I had to change my MSN sign in account the other day because it was tied to the domain I recently lost. So I headed over to the Passport site and registered my Gmail (joe.mclemore@gmail.com in case you care) account with them and then went about updating my contact list. While doing this I noticed the “Go to my e-mail inbox” link and clicked it. Predictably it opened Outlook instead of my Gmail account. So here’s an idea, how about a plug-in for MSN messenger that will apply Gmail to all of the e-mail related settings? Click “Go to my e-mail inbox” and it brings up a browser. Click “Send E-mail” in the user context menu and it opens Gmail to the compose screen.
So how ’bout it Google?

I’m way to tired to talk in any meaningful way so it’ll have to wait till tomorrow. I have some thoughts on OneNote that I want to share and some other pieces of software.

I just noticed that the two Microsoft feeds that I subscribe to haven’t been updated in a loooooooong time. The Windows XP Expert Zone feed has completely passed out of existence and the Microsoft Security Bulletins feed has been dead since the 11th of this month (I’m pretty sure I’ve downloaded updates since then).
So, ah, Scoble

Chris, the guy I said was full of crap yesterday, came by and commented today which was nice. After I saw this I went and checked out his site a bit more and found this and this, both of which I found to be pretty amusing.
So my question to Chris (can I call you Chris? I’m going to anyway) is, did you really build a couch? And if so when will we see pictures?
And I subscribed to his feed.

Mr. Microsoft pointed to a post by Chistopher Baus that basically says Scoble is boring and only blogs about blogging and blah blah and whatever. Chris is full of crap and entirely misses the point of why Scoble does what he does. Robert is an evangelist, getting excited about things is his job. He’s supposed to go out and convince people that Microsoft technologies are something to embrace and work with.
Anyway, the meeting. Scoble and the rest of the Channel 9 people got invited to a bug triage meeting and got video of the whole thing. Now I’m not a developer so I have no fucking clue what was going on there but damn if it wasn’t interesting. Just seeing how these people work is exciting since I am, after all, a total Microsoft whore. I’ll be watching more of these Channel 9 things in the near future.

I almost forgot to comment on this morning. I remember looking over at the clock when the alarm went off…. and yes it was 6:15, past time to get up. Time to wake the kids already, but it felt wrong. No it’s really 5:15, you just read it wrong. It wasn’t because I was groggy, I was very alert, it just seemed off. Just a small sensation, then I got the kids going. But later they each said something to the same effect. Much later after dinner, I asked Vale. And he said, “Yeah, now that you mention it, that’s exactly how it felt.

Vale loaned me all his RSS feeds, because mine died in the Great Duel Drive Crash of 2004, and I was reading dutifully when I came upon a treasure trove of video. I’d like to share a little comedic relief in the form of Fuzzy Math Just 20 days from the speech, this is probably old hat, but we really need MORE Truth and Passion Then whip it up to a frenzy with This amazing bit of video. And then come back to earth with teeth jarring reality, namely it’s all just a game.
